GFA Charges Asante Kotoko Over Alleged Threats and Assault on Match Officials
Asante Kotoko is facing disciplinary action after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) cited the club for misconduct involving match officials during their Matchday 12 fixture against Medeama SC.
According to the GFA’s Disciplinary Committee, Kotoko breached the 2025 Enhanced Matchday Protocols when unauthorized individuals gained access to Zone 2 at halftime.

The match officials in that restricted area were reportedly subjected to intimidation and physical assault, prompting the governing body to initiate formal charges.
The committee has instructed the Porcupine Warriors to file their defense by Wednesday, December 3, as part of the ongoing inquiry.
The charges stem from an incident during the team’s 2-2 draw with Medeama SC at the Baba Yara Stadium—an encounter that ended in controversy despite the thrilling scoreline.
