Bibiani GoldStars head coach, Frimpong Manso, has underlined the importance of his team’s final match of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, as they prepare to host Accra Lions at the Dun’s Park on Sunday.

With the title race going down to the wire, the Miners find themselves level on points with Nations FC following a controversial incident that cut short the latter’s game against Basake Holy Stars. The final league standings could hinge on the outcome of the GFA’s disciplinary ruling, but a win for GoldStars on Sunday could all but secure them a historic first Premier League title.

Speaking ahead of the crucial fixture, Coach Frimpong Manso expressed confidence in his side’s readiness and determination to end the season on a high.

“We are very prepared. All we have done this week is to prepare very well and round up our season successfully. It happens to be our last game of the season and this is not a game we are taking for granted at all,” Manso told reporters.

“When you look at that game, it is a league decider for us, so we have worked too hard to win this game,” he added.
“I am very happy with preparations so far.”

GoldStars have amassed 60 points from 33 matches and head into the final round knowing victory could deliver the most significant achievement in the club’s history. The game kicks off at 3:00 PM at Dun’s Park, where fans are expected to turn out in large numbers to back their team’s title charge.
