Forson Amankwah Eyes Premier League Promotion with Norwich City
Ghana international Forson Amankwah has outlined his ambition for the 2025/26 football season, revealing his determination to help Norwich City secure a return to the English Premier League.
Speaking in an interview with Flashscore.com, the 22-year-old midfielder stressed that promotion to England’s top flight remains the club’s ultimate target and a personal dream.
“The club wants to get promoted, so as a player, you also need that because the Premier League is the best league.
It’s like the top league, and then everybody’s watching the Premier League. So I’m prepared for that, and then I hope we get the best of it.
We hope for the best next season, and then I hope we can get promoted. We will do everything and try our best to just get promoted,” Forson Amankwah said.
Amankwah joined Norwich City from Red Bull Salzburg in 2024 and made 22 appearances in his debut campaign, scoring twice. However, injuries hampered his consistency last season, something he is keen to avoid this term.
The midfielder is now focused on maintaining full fitness to make a bigger impact as the Canaries push for promotion from the Championship.
