The Felix Lartey Foundation, led by renowned table tennis star Felix Lartey, has made a significant contribution to the development of the sport in Ghana.

On Saturday, February 15, 2025, the foundation donated essential equipment, including rubbers, rackets, and jerseys, to over 30 young players and clubs at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The gesture is aimed at promoting the sport and equipping players with the necessary tools to enhance their training and improve their playing skills.

Notably, young female sensation and Ghana’s number one, Joanita Borteye, was among the recipients, receiving a complete set of equipment, including a jersey, training shoes, bag, rackets, and rubbers.

Ekow Hayford Abban, a member of the Felix Lartey Foundation, emphasized the need for other senior players to emulate Felix Lartey’s kind gesture.

“We urge other senior players to support the junior players, as their contributions will go a long way in propelling them to success. We believe that this donation will inspire the young players to work harder and achieve their goals.” He said.

“We are grateful for the support from Felix Lartey and the foundation,” said Cynthia Kwabi, a teammate of Felix Lartey. “This donation is a forms part of Felix’s commitment to giving back to the sport that has given him so much.
