Eighteen Players Arrive in Nagoya as Black Stars Begin Preparations for 2025 Kirin Cup
A total of eighteen players have reported to the Black Stars camp at the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nagoya, Japan, as Ghana begins preparations for the 2025 Kirin Cup.
The initial group includes two home-based players, Kelvin Nkrumah of Medeama SC and Prince Owusu, who were among the first to arrive before being joined by sixteen of their international teammates on Tuesday.
According to team officials, the remaining quartet — Benjamin Asare, Mohammed Salisu, Prince Osei Owusu, and Christopher Bonsu Baah — are expected to link up with the squad on Wednesday to complete the roster.

Head coach Otto Addo and his technical team are scheduled to conduct the team’s first full training session later on Wednesday as preparations intensify ahead of the double-header.
Ghana will open their campaign with a clash against Japan on Friday, November 14, before facing South Korea four days later in Seoul.
The two friendlies form part of the Black Stars’ ongoing build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, offering Otto Addo a valuable opportunity to assess his squad and integrate new players into the team’s system.
