Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has expressed sympathy for Eleven Wonders despite his side’s convincing 3–0 victory, questioning whether the struggling club truly deserves its current position in the Ghana Premier League relegation zone.

The Phobians produced a dominant display on Saturday to secure all three points, a result that propelled them into fourth place on the league table with 35 points and kept them firmly in the chase behind leaders Medeama SC.

For Eleven Wonders, however, the defeat compounded an already difficult season. The side has managed just nine points from 20 matches, suffering 15 losses and remaining anchored in the drop zone.

Speaking after the match, Dramani suggested that league standings do not always tell the full story, insisting that Eleven Wonders’ performances show more promise than their results indicate.

“Sometimes the position of a club does not reflect what they do and so my experience in the game gives me the impression to always think that I treat every game differently and I really appreciate what teams do and so when I sit back and watch their videos and then analyse the game I get to know that they don’t deserve to be where they find themselves,” he said.

The Hearts coach went on to highlight the many unseen factors that influence results, urging a more balanced assessment of teams going through difficult periods.

“Maybe there were a number of factors and especially there are so many factors that affect performances and results. It’s just not just seeing 11 players on the pitch and playing and then 9 players on the bench waiting to have their turn,” he continued.

“So many things happen and so sometimes when you see results not coming it is good to be very sober in terms of being more humble to appreciate that they did what is very necessary.”

Despite the emphatic scoreline, Dramani’s comments reflected a measured perspective, acknowledging the effort of Eleven Wonders while reinforcing Hearts of Oak’s focus as they continue their push near the top of the table.
