Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah Fulfills Kobby Stonne’s Commentary Wish with a Special Gift
In a heartwarming gesture of appreciation and connection between players and fans, Black Queens star Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah has delivered a signed jersey short to renowned Akan sports commentator Kobby Stonne, fulfilling a light-hearted request he made during one of his lively match commentaries on Asempa 94.7 fm and its 64 affiliates.
The emotional presentation took place at the Alisa Hotel, where the Ghana women’s national team was lodged following their participation in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, who had an impressive tournament and clinched one ‘Most Valuable Player (MVP)’ award, was pivotal in Ghana’s journey through all six matches. Her standout performance won the hearts of many, including Kobby Stonne, who provided captivating live commentary for every one of Ghana’s games.

During one of the matches, Kobby Stonne jokingly expressed a desire to receive Chantelle’s jersey shorts referred to locally as a “pant jersey.” Staying true to her character, Chantelle honored his playful request and personally handed over the autographed shorts to him.
