Wydad Casablanca have safely arrived in Ghana ahead of their highly anticipated CAF Confederation Cup encounter with Asante Kotoko this weekend.

The Moroccan giants, accompanied by their technical staff, touched down at Kotoka International Airport in Accra early Thursday morning to set the tone for their final phase of preparations.

Asante Kotoko will welcome Wydad to the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday for the first leg of the second preliminary round in what promises to be a thrilling North versus West African contest.

According to CAF regulations, Wydad Casablanca will hold their mandatory pre-match training session at the game venue on Saturday afternoon to familiarize themselves with the pitch conditions before Sunday’s crucial duel.

The Porcupine Warriors head into the fixture in fine form, having eliminated Nigeria’s Kwara United in the previous round. The Ghanaian side remains unbeaten since the start of the 2025/26 season and will be eager to maintain that momentum against the Moroccan powerhouse.

With both clubs boasting rich histories and passionate fanbases, Sunday’s clash is set to deliver high intensity and continental drama.
