Hearts of Oak coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has emphasized that success in football requires patience and long-term planning rather than placing blame on players, coaches, or management.

The Accra-based side have been inconsistent since the start of the season with their latest game ending in a defeat via penalties to Golden Kicks in the MTN FA Cup.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Sports Nite show with host Prof. E.K. Wallace, Ouattara highlighted how top African clubs, such as TP Mazembe, have taken years to build dominance.

“In football, results take time. Look at Morocco—their women’s teams started serious development six years ago. Now, it’s extremely difficult to beat them, even for Ghana,” he noted.

Ouattara stressed his commitment to focusing on the job at hand rather than engaging in blame games, urging patience as he works to strengthen Hearts of Oak.
