Black Stars to Depart Casablanca for Meknes Ahead of Crucial World Cup Qualifier

The Black Stars of Ghana will today, October 7, 2025, depart Casablanca for Meknes as preparations intensify ahead of their decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against the Central African Republic (CAR).

The team has been based in Casablanca since Sunday, engaging in a series of tactical and conditioning sessions to sharpen readiness for Wednesday’s encounter. Training has been held at the Mohammed V Sports Complex, where head coach Otto Addo and his technical staff supervised Monday’s full session involving 20 players.

The crucial Matchday 9 fixture is set for Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknes, with kickoff scheduled for 16:00 GMT.

Ghana currently leads Group I with 19 points, maintaining a strong position in their quest for a fifth World Cup appearance.
