Ghana have been handed a demanding path at the World Cup after being drawn into Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia
The friendly against Germany is expected to provide a valuable benchmark for the squad as they seek to address shortcomings from previous World Cup outings.
Ghana’s World Cup campaign will begin on June 17 in Toronto against Panama, before a high-profile encounter with England in Boston on June 23. The group phase concludes with a meeting against Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
The 2026 tournament will mark Ghana’s fifth appearance at the World Cup, following previous participations in 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2022. The Black Stars’ finest moment on the global stage remains their historic run to the quarter-finals in South Africa in 2010, a benchmark the current generation hopes to challenge once again.
