Bechem United Coach Desmond-Issah Botchway Confident of First Win Against Hearts of Oak
Bechem United head coach Desmond-Issah Botchway has voiced confidence that his side is ready to register their first victory of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign when they take on Hearts of Oak in Week 4.
The Hunters have endured a shaky start to the season, failing to win any of their opening three matches, which have produced two defeats and one draw.
Speaking in a pre-match interview ahead of Friday’s clash at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Coach Botchway admitted his team must sharpen a few areas of their game but insisted progress is being made.
“We have played three matches and we are doing very well, but there are a few things we need to work on to make the team a complete one,” he said.
Acknowledging the pedigree of their opponents, Botchway nevertheless underlined his team’s readiness to deliver in front of their home fans. “Hearts of Oak are a good side. We are preparing well, we are making sure that the match is ours at the end of the game,” he declared.
The showdown in Bechem is set for Friday, October 3, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm local time.
