Bechem United assistant coach Seth Osei has admitted that mounting a serious title challenge in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season will be a tough task but says the club remains focused on securing a top-four finish.

Speaking in a pre-match interview with Bechem United TV ahead of their crucial Week 27 clash against league leaders Asante Kotoko on Sunday, April 13, Osei stressed the importance of realistic expectations for the campaign.

“With our target for the season, it won’t be bad if we finish in the top four. Chasing the title we know will be very difficult,” Osei stated.

Bechem United, currently sitting 6th on the league table, are aiming to break into the top four with a strong finish to the season. However, their next challenge is a daunting one, as they face an in-form Asante Kotoko side at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Kotoko, unbeaten in their last four matches and boasting a five-match home unbeaten streak, are the favourites going into the tie. Nonetheless, Coach Osei believes his side has what it takes to cause an upset or at least walk away with a valuable point.

“Kotoko in the last four matches haven’t lost a game, and we are preparing very well for the game. They have not lost a game at home in the last five matches, but we are hoping for the best, and we know it’s possible to get a point from that match,” he added.

The match promises to be an entertaining contest, with both sides eager to keep their top-four ambitions alive as the Premier League enters its critical final third.
