Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have bolstered their squad with the signing of Guinean attacker Morifing Donzo as part of their strategic efforts to mount a strong title challenge in the upcoming 2025/26 football season.

The Porcupine Warriors, who clinched the MTN FA Cup last season, fell short in the Ghana Premier League title race. Now determined to reclaim domestic dominance, the Kumasi-based club is actively reinforcing its ranks during the off-season.

On Monday, Asante Kotoko officially announced the acquisition of Morifing Donzo on a three-year contract.

“Asante Kotoko is delighted to announce the signing of Guinean forward Morifing Donzo on a three-year deal, following the successful completion of his medical. The deal is subject to the approval of his work permit,” the club said in a statement.

Donzo, 27, arrives from Guinean top-flight side Hafia FC. He brings with him valuable experience from continental competitions, having featured in both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.

The forward’s addition is expected to boost Kotoko’s attacking prowess as they aim to return to the summit of Ghanaian football.
