Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has expressed strong confidence in his side’s readiness for Sunday’s Super Clash against Hearts of Oak, revealing that the team has intensified preparations ahead of the high-stakes encounter.

The Porcupine Warriors will host their fiercest rivals at the Baba Yara Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 17:00 GMT, as Ghana’s most iconic football rivalry takes centre stage once again.

Speaking on Akoma FM, Amoah disclosed that the technical team and players have focused heavily on sharpening their attacking output in recent training sessions, with the aim of making a strong statement in the fixture.

“We are preparing very well. I think we are working more on our goal scoring, and we also need to get more goals in that match,” Amoah said. “So, I think we are ready for Sunday.”

Beyond the tactical aspects, the forward highlighted the emotional importance of the game, noting that a positive result could help rebuild confidence among the club’s supporters following an inconsistent run of performances.

“Well, I think we need that point very seriously. It’s important for us to win back our supporters’ hearts, especially since we haven’t been consistent in our matches. This is a match our supporters truly need, so I believe securing the points is absolutely crucial,” he added.

The Super Clash is expected to draw massive attention nationwide, with both sides eager to claim bragging rights and strengthen their positions in the Ghana Premier League title race.
