Abasa Aremeyaw Joins Gulf United FC on Free Transfer
UAE First Division League side Gulf United FC have confirmed the capture of Ghanaian centre-back Abasa Aremeyaw ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 22-year-old defender joined the Dubai-based outfit on a free transfer after successfully completing his medical earlier this week. He becomes one of the club’s key reinforcements as they prepare for their second season in the country’s second tier.
Aremeyaw arrives with experience across multiple leagues. He spent the previous campaign in Saudi Arabia with Al Tuhami, where his commanding presence at the back played a crucial role in their campaign. Before that, he developed his career in Europe with Slovakian side MSK Žilina and later featured in Major League Soccer with Philadelphia Union.

A product of Zilina Africa FC in Ghana, Aremeyaw is yet to represent the national team at any level but continues to build a reputation as a promising defender abroad.
Founded in 2019, Gulf United earned promotion to the UAE First Division League in the 2023/24 season and are aiming to consolidate their position as a rising force in the Emirates’ football scene. The addition of Aremeyaw is expected to strengthen their defensive setup as they target a competitive campaign.
