Young Apostles Face League Leaders Asante Kotoko in Midweek Showdown

Young Apostles will host Asante Kotoko at the Wenchi Stadium in a highly anticipated Matchday 20 Ghana Premier League clash on Wednesday.

Kotoko have been in fine form under head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, sitting one point clear at the top of the table ahead of Heart of Lions and Bibiani Gold Stars. The Porcupine Warriors will be eager to maintain their position as they seek to extend their unbeaten away run to four matches across all competitions.

Their only league defeat this season came at home against Nations FC in November, but since then, they have been resilient on the road, picking up two wins and a draw in their last three away fixtures.

Despite being newly promoted, Young Apostles have exceeded expectations this season and currently sit mid-table.  Apostles have recorded three wins, two losses, and one draw in their last six outings, showing both attacking intent and defensive vulnerability, having kept only one clean sheet in that period.

While their home matches tend to be low-scoring affairs, Apostles have been competitive at Wenchi Stadium and will fancy their chances of taking at least a point off the league leaders.
