Vision FC head coach, Nana Kweku Agyeman, is optimistic about his side’s chances as they prepare to take on Heart of Lions in a crucial Ghana Premier League match at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

Heart of Lions, who currently sit third on the league table, are just one point behind leaders Bibiani GoldStars. They will be eager to return to winning ways after suffering a narrow defeat to Hearts of Oak in their last game before the league’s temporary suspension.

Despite that setback, Bashiru Hayford’s team has had a solid campaign, boasting nine wins, six draws, and four losses in 19 matches.

Meanwhile, Vision FC will look to capitalize on their recent victory over Accra Lions as they aim to climb further away from the relegation zone. Though the newly promoted side sits just five points above the drop, their performances indicate they are capable of securing their top-flight status for another season.

Speaking ahead of the match, Coach Nana Kweku Agyeman emphasized the need to regain momentum after the league’s break.

“Beating Accra Lions gave us momentum, but then the league was halted. Now, we need to rebuild that momentum,” he stated during his pre-match press conference.

“We need to excite our fans, give them something to look forward to, and also set high expectations for ourselves. As a technical team, we have done our job, and now we hope to go to Tema and secure a win against Heart of Lions on Sunday.”

The last time these two teams met in the league, Heart of Lions claimed a 1-0 victory in a tightly contested encounter. With both teams eager to make a statement, Sunday’s fixture promises to be an exciting battle.
