Ghana head coach Otto Addo says he is confident the Black Stars will finish their 2025 Unity Cup campaign on a high note when they take on Trinidad & Tobago in the third-place playoff today at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The four-time African champions are seeking redemption after a narrow 2-1 defeat to Nigeria in the semi-final clash on Wednesday night. Despite missing several key players, Ghana delivered a spirited second-half performance that has given Addo renewed belief heading into their final match of the tournament.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, the 49-year-old tactician expressed his confidence in the squad’s ability to secure a positive result.

“We showed already a good reaction [against Nigeria], surely we would want to continue in the second half,” Addo said.

“We really want to finish this tournament with a win, and I think we have the quality for that and we just have to show that on the pitch from the beginning and not just from the second half,” he added.

The Black Stars will be hoping to deliver a complete performance and end their participation in the Unity Cup on a winning note. Kick-off for the match is scheduled for 11:30 GMT.

Meanwhile, Nigeria will face Jamaica in the final later today, with that clash set to begin at 16:30 GMT, also at the Gtech Community Stadium.
