Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has expressed strong belief in Manchester City’s Premier League title chances following their commanding victory over Fulham that tightened the race at the top.

Semenyo opened the scoring in City’s 3-0 win on Wednesday night, his fifth goal since joining the club in January, as Pep Guardiola’s side closed the gap on leaders Arsenal to just three points. The Gunners, however, still have an opportunity to stretch their advantage back to six points when they face Brentford on Thursday.

With the title battle intensifying, the Black Stars attacker admitted he is relishing the pressure and confident in City’s ability to go all the way.

“It’s new to me. I’m enjoying it. But obviously it comes with a lot of pressure and demands. We have the team to do it. We just need to keep going,” Semenyo said.

He also revealed he would be closely following Arsenal’s upcoming fixture, hoping for a favourable outcome.

“Just going to sit tight and watch the game tomorrow and hopefully it goes our way so let’s see.”

Since arriving at the Etihad Stadium in the winter transfer window, Semenyo has made an immediate impact, scoring five goals in eight appearances and quickly becoming a key figure in City’s attack.

As the title race heats up, Semenyo’s confidence and form could prove crucial in Manchester City’s push to reclaim the Premier League crown.
