Ghanaian midfielder Salis Abdul Samed has sealed a return to Ligue 1 after completing a move to French side OGC Nice, marking another significant chapter in his professional career.

Renowned for his energy, vision, and relentless work rate, the 25-year-old is back in familiar territory, having first impressed in French football with Clermont Foot from 2019 to 2022. He later reached new heights at RC Lens between 2022 and 2024 under the guidance of coach Franck Haise, where his tireless midfield displays and ability to link play earned him plaudits across the league.

In the 2024/25 season, Abdul Samed ventured into English football on loan with Sunderland. Despite battling injuries, he played a key role in helping the Black Cats secure promotion to the Premier League, making eleven appearances and showcasing enhanced leadership and composure under pressure.

Now back in France, the Ghana international is expected to bring stability and creativity to Nice’s midfield as the club targets a strong campaign. His debut could come as early as August 16, when Le Gym host Toulouse at the Allianz Riviera.
