Otto Addo Sets Sights on Consolation Win Against Niger
Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, has rallied his team to secure a morale-boosting victory against Niger as the Black Stars aim to salvage pride in their final group match.
The Black Stars have endured a challenging AFCON qualifying series, with their performances falling short of expectations. They have not won a game yet and have missed out on the AFCON 2025.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Addo emphasized the importance of finishing the campaign on a positive note.
“We are looking forward to beating Niger, not to end up as last,” Addo stated. “We want to beat them for our honor and for third place.”He added.
The four-time African Champions sit bottom in Group F with just three points after five games. A win for Niger may qualify them for the AFCON depending on the results of the Angola-Sudan game.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 16:00 GMT.
