Ogum laments missed chances against Bechem, calls for clinical Finishing
Following a disappointing defeat against Bechem United, Kotoko’s head coach Prosper Ogum has emphasized the need for sharper finishing, noting that missed clear scoring opportunities were the difference-maker.
His comments follows the club’s defeat to Bechem United in week 10 of the Ghana Premier League. The Porcupine Warriors have faced three consecutive defeats in the league this season; losing to Legon Cities, Heart of Lions and Bechem United.
Speaking after the defeat, Coach Ogum stressed the need for clinical finishing following his team’s recent defeat, highlighting that missed clear-cut chances cost them the match. He emphasized that with more purpose in front of goal, they could have avoided the loss, urging his players to capitalize on opportunities in future games.
“We just have to be purposeful in front of goal. If we had been purposeful in front of goal, this unfortunate defeat would not have happened. You can’t get some of these chances and miss them. We need to convert these chances. Not that they are quarter chances or half chances. These are full chances they need to convert them.” He said.
Asante Kotoko have descended to the sixth position with 15 points and will play Nations Football Club in the next fixture.
