Nsoatreman FC and club official Kudus Bashiu have been formally charged with multiple violations of Ghana Premier League (GPL) regulations and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Code following their controversial clash with Asante Kotoko.

The club has been cited under Article 22(4) for allegedly allowing an unauthorized individual onto the pitch’s inner perimeter, an incident that escalated into violence and tragically led to the stabbing of Kotoko supporter Francis “Nana Pooley” Frimpong.

In a press release, the GFA Disciplinary Committee also charged Kudus Bashiu with breaching:

  • Article 12(1)(h) of the Disciplinary Code
  • Articles 34(6)(d) and 22(3)(a) of the GPL regulations

Bashiu is accused of unlawfully entering the pitch and allegedly assaulting Asante Kotoko defender Mohamed Camara, an action classified as misconduct and bringing the game into disrepute.

Both Nsoatreman FC and Kudus Bashiu have until Monday, February 24, 2025, to submit their responses to the charges.
