MTN FA Cup : Wilson Arthur Promises High-Quality Officiating, Security, and Entertainment

Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, Wilson Arthur, has assured football fans that the competition will maintain top standards in officiating, security, and entertainment, adding that there is “pohoo” (excitement) in this year’s tournament.

With the competition heating up, organizers are keen to enhance the fan experience, ensuring a well-structured and entertaining tournament as clubs battle for a spot in the next round.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Sports Nite show with host Prof. E.K. Wallace, Arthur emphasized that only the best referees have been selected to officiate the Round of 16 fixtures, ensuring fairness and professionalism.

“We have eight matches in the Round of 16, and the Referees’ Appointment Committee has a wide range of referees to select from. We are choosing only quality referees. Officiating, performance, security, and entertainment have all been considered. There is ‘pohoo’ in the MTN FA Cup,” he stated.

The round of 16 games will be played from 21st February to 23rd February 2025.
