Mohammed Fuseini’s Decisive Strike Earns Royal Union SG Europa League Victory
Ghanaian forward Mohammed Gadafi Fuseini was the star of the night as he scored the crucial goal in Royal Union SG’s 1-0 victory over FC Twente in their Europa League Group Stage encounter on Thursday.
In a challenging away fixture against the Dutch side, Royal Union SG initially thought they had taken the lead in the 7th minute through Franjo Ivanovic.
However, VAR ruled the goal offside, denying the Belgian club an early advantage.
Just minutes later, Fuseini stepped up and delivered for his team, slotting home a clinical finish in the 11th minute after a perfectly timed assist from Ousseynou Niang.
His strike ultimately proved to be the match-winner, as Royal Union SG defended resolutely to secure all three points.
