Ghanaian coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu, who currently serves as an assistant coach for the Sudan national team, has emphasized that while a coach influences a team’s performance, the final outcome of a match is not solely dependent on them.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s SportsNite Show with host Alex Kobina Stonne on Monday, March 3, 2025, Osei-Fosu explained that a well-balanced team, both defensively and offensively, increases its chances of securing victory.

“The performance of the players is dependent on the coach, but the result of a match is not. If a team executes its game plan effectively in both defense and attack, winning becomes more likely,” he stated.

His remarks highlight the shared responsibility between players and coaches in determining match outcomes, reinforcing the importance of tactical discipline and execution on the field.
