Lecturers Belong in Classrooms, Not on the Pitch- Ex Kotoko striker slams Ogum
Former Asante Kotoko player, Saddick Adams says he is not a fan of coaches who have doctorate degrees and decide to coach.
His comments follows Asante Kotoko’s 1-0 loss to Bechem United in week 10 of the Ghana Premier League. The Porcupine Warriors have faced three consecutive defeats in the league this season; losing to Legon Cities, Heart of Lions and Bechem United.
Speaking on his social media page after the game, Saddick Adams revealed that he used to believe in Asante Kotoko coach Ogum but recent results shows he is not good for the job.
“I thought they said he is a good coach. Last season did not go well and this season too? I can’t deal with Doctors or Professors who are coaches. Those coaches talk like they are teaching in school.” He said.
He added that Ogum should focus on teaching in school than to coach.
Coaches who are lecturers should lecture in school and stop coaching. It is different lecturing in school and dealing with players. Lecturing players will not work because they are professionals. ” He added.
Asante Kotoko have descended to the sixth position with 15 points and will play Nations Football Club in the next fixture.
