Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has reiterated his call for justice in the killing of Asante Kotoko fan Nana Pooley, who was fatally stabbed during a Ghana Premier League match against Nsoatreman FC earlier this year.

Speaking in an interview on Metro TV, Okraku emphasized the need for continued vigilance and support for the investigation, urging authorities not to relent until those responsible are held accountable.

“We must keep the chase and pace to bring the killer of Pooley to justice,” he declared.

The death of Nana Pooley sparked national outrage and led to a temporary suspension of league fixtures. The tragedy also highlighted the persistent issue of fan violence at football venues and the urgent need for improved security measures.

In the aftermath, the GFA has taken significant steps to address safety concerns. These include the introduction of enhanced matchday security protocols, intensified collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, and the rollout of anti-hooliganism awareness campaigns across stadiums.

The GFA President reaffirmed the association’s support for the bereaved family and reiterated the FA’s commitment to working with security agencies to bring closure to the tragic incident.

The investigation into the death of Nana Pooley is still ongoing.
