Kenneth Odeng Adade Appointed COO for 15th Africa Armwrestling Championship in Accra

The Ghana Armwrestling Federation has confirmed the appointment of seasoned sports administrator Kenneth Odeng Adade as Chief Operations Officer for the 15th Africa Armwrestling Championship, scheduled to take place in Accra.

Odeng Adade, who brings vast experience in sports event management and project coordination, will play a central role in overseeing the planning and delivery of the continental championship. He is expected to work hand in hand with the Local Organizing Committee to ensure smooth operations before and during the tournament.

Supporting him in the operational setup will be Abass Sulley, the team manager of Ghana’s national armwrestling side, the Golden Arms, who has been tasked to assist with team coordination and logistical arrangements.

The championship is set to attract participation from more than 20 African nations, with athletes competing not only for medals but also for qualification slots to the 2027 African Games in Egypt.

According to the Ghana Armwrestling Federation, Accra is fully prepared to host the prestigious event, with plans in place to accommodate close to 400 athletes and officials. The championship is expected to further position Ghana as a reliable host for major international sporting events while shining a spotlight on the growth of armwrestling across the continent.
