Kassim Mingle, Christopher Ennin Shortlisted for GPL Coach of the Month for April
Two of the Ghana Premier League’s most in-form coaches, Kassim Mingle Ocansey of Nations FC and Christopher Ennin of FC Samartex 1996, have been nominated for the NASCO Coach of the Month award for April, following their teams’ stellar performances.
Kassim Mingle’s Nations FC side enjoyed an exceptional month, registering five wins out of six matches. The team conceded just one goal while scoring eight, a defensive and attacking balance that has seen them climb to the top of the league table with 54 points. His tactical consistency and motivational influence have made Nations FC genuine title contenders this season.
Christopher Ennin, the head coach of defending champions FC Samartex, earned a consecutive nomination after another strong run in April. Under his guidance, the Timber Giants secured four wins, one draw, and suffered just one defeat. Samartex also boasted the league’s highest goal tally for the month with 12 goals, while conceding four.
The winner of the NASCO Coach of the Month award will be presented with a 43-inch NASCO television, courtesy of Electroland Ghana Limited, the official sponsors of the monthly awards.
The recognition underscores the influence both coaches have had on their teams’ fortunes as the Ghana Premier League heads into a thrilling final stretch.
