Karim Zito Urges Patience as New Season Approaches
Asante Kotoko head coach, Karim Zito, has called on fans to exercise patience as the club works to build a competitive side for the upcoming campaign.
With several new signings joining the squad, Zito acknowledged that the process of blending fresh arrivals with the old guard will not be immediate. He stressed that time, commitment, and discipline will be vital as they prepare for both the Ghana Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
“It takes time for them to gel and then the level of intelligence is not the same even the Europeans will tell you it takes time some will tell you it will take you a season before the team will gel the way you want it,” Zito explained to AKSC Media.
Despite these challenges, the coach emphasized the need for hard work and adaptability. “But there is nothing we can do we have to fight it and fight hard, and then adjust our thinking adjust our attitude towards the league and then the confederation cup,” he added.
Kotoko open their 2025/26 league season with a tricky away fixture against Berekum Chelsea on Saturday, a clash that will provide the first real test of Zito’s rebuilding project.
