Officials of South African football giants Kaizer Chiefs have paid a courtesy visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi ahead of their upcoming Toyota Cup clash with Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko.

The high-level meeting comes in the lead-up to the much-anticipated showdown between the two historic clubs scheduled for July 28, 2025, in South Africa, as part of this year’s edition of the prestigious Toyota Cup.

During the interaction, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II expressed confidence in Asante Kotoko’s pedigree and readiness for the encounter, while also acknowledging the rich legacy and stature of Kaizer Chiefs within African football.

The visit further solidified the bond between the two clubs, with both parties emphasizing the importance of using such matches to foster mutual respect and international collaboration within the sport.
