Former Ghana international defender Isaac Vorsah has urged the Black Stars to raise their performance levels as they continue their campaign for a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Vorsah, who was part of Ghana’s historic 2010 World Cup squad, acknowledged the team’s recent improvement but insisted that more work is needed to guarantee qualification.

His comments come in the wake of Ghana’s back-to-back wins in March, where the Black Stars recorded a dominant 5-0 victory over Chad and followed it up with a 3-0 triumph against Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Speaking in an interview, Vorsah expressed cautious optimism:
“We have to work harder, as we want to qualify. We have qualified already for me, but we have to do the work well,” he said, emphasizing the need for sustained focus and commitment from the squad.

The experienced center-back, who also featured in three Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournaments, noted that while the recent victories were encouraging, the team cannot afford to be complacent.

With four matches remaining in the qualification series, the Black Stars are set to face Chad and Mali in matchdays 7 and 8 this September.
