Ghana coach Otto Addo has urged Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars as they turn their focus to the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Speaking to the press on Sunday, Addo acknowledged the disappointment and frustration among fans following Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

“I understand that people are disappointed, maybe angry. I was also disappointed, but surely we have to move on now,” Addo said.

The coach emphasized the importance of shifting focus to the World Cup qualifiers, which are set to begin imminently. “We need to do our best to prepare for the World Cup qualifiers, and it starts against Niger,” he added.

Addo also made a heartfelt appeal to Ghanaians for their unwavering support.

“If you [Ghanaians] want us to go to the World Cup, you need to support us,” he stated.
