“I wasn’t given the chance to explain myself”- Bashiru Hayford on five matches ban
Heart of Lions gaffer, Bashiru Hayford has expressed his disappointment for not being given the opportunity to explain himself before the GFA Disciplinary Committee for his five matches ban.
In match day seven of this season’s Ghana Premier League, Bashiru Hayford verbally assaulted match officials during a game between Karela United and Heart of Lions at the Aliu Mahama sports stadium in Tamale.
The GFA therefore banned him for unsporting behaviour and fined him GHC5000. According to him, he was not called for him to explain the side of his story.
“I haven’t been called for any arbitration or given a chance to explain. If I did something wrong, I believe I should have the chance to defend myself. He told Peace FM.
Hayford will not be in the dugout for Heart of Lions against Berekum Chelsea, Accra Lions, Legon Cities, Samartex, and Basake Holy Stars. Heart of Lions are sixth with 14 points.
