Head coach of Hohoe United, Tijani Bashiru, has assured fans that the team’s overall performance will improve significantly after Week 10 of the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The Hohoe-based side has endured a challenging start to the campaign, collecting just 10 points from nine matches, with a record of two wins, four draws, and three defeats — a run that leaves them 11th on the league table.

Speaking to Hohoe United TV ahead of their upcoming fixture against Dreams FC, Coach Bashiru acknowledged that defensive lapses have been the team’s biggest concern but expressed confidence that his players are addressing those issues in training.

“After the game against Vision, we came back and started training on Monday, so I think we are just correcting our mistakes that we did during the game against Nations. The problem we have is in our defense, so we are trying to get them on board and to try and defend well,” he explained.

The young tactician further noted that while his team has been unlucky at times, he believes fans will soon see a stronger and more balanced side on the pitch.

“We are just unlucky sometimes but we will see a better Hohoe United after matchday 10,” he added confidently.

Supporters will be eager to see if Bashiru’s defensive adjustments can translate into results as the team aims to climb up the league standings.
