Hearts of Oak Communications Director, Opare Addo, has called on all stakeholders in Ghanaian football to comply with the newly introduced safety protocols to prevent security breaches at match venues.

His remarks come after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) charged Hearts of Oak for allowing fans unauthorized access to the safe zone at the Legon Stadium during their Ghana Premier League fixture against Young Apostles.

Speaking to Asempa FM, Opare Addo reaffirmed Hearts of Oak’s commitment to ensuring that all members of the club, including fans and officials, fully understand and respect these protocols.

“All stakeholders at Hearts of Oak have discussed how to educate everyone associated with the club on the enhanced safety protocols so that we don’t violate them,” he stated.

He further emphasized the collective responsibility required to make football matches safer.

“We all have to play our roles well so that we can enjoy our game and always go home safely.”

With the GFA set to enforce strict penalties for violations of the new safety measures, clubs and their supporters are expected to fully comply to avoid sanctions and ensure a secure football environment.
