Hearts of Oak record narrow win over Vision FC
Hearts of Oak were 1-0 victors over Vision Football Club in match day 10 of the Ghana Premier League.
The end-to-end game thrilled fans at the University of Ghana sports stadium as Mawuli Wayo scored the only goal of the game.
The game started on a high note with both teams creating goal scoring chances early in the game. Hearts forward, Kwabena Boateng missed a chance in the seventh minute to give Hearts the lead. A minute later, Saani sent in a dangerous cross, but Hamza Issah was seconds late in connecting to the pass.
Vision FC goalkeeper, Michael Abrahams made a crucial save after Kwabena Boateng shot some few yards away from goal in the 13th minute. Former Hearts of Oak striker, Issah Kukah had an opportunity to score for Vision in the 41st minute but failed.
The Phobians started the second half on a high note creating chances. In the 48th minute, substitute, Mawuli Wayo finally broke the deadlock after connecting to a dead ball in the 18 yard box. The goal was his second consecutive goal of the season from the bench.
Both teams went ahead to create chances but the results remained at 1-0
Hearts of Oak now have 15 points and have moved to the 4th position on the table while Vision remain at the 11th position with 11 points.
