Ghana U-16 Team Begins Training Camp Ahead of Guadeloupe Invitational
The Ghana U-16 male national team will kick off a training camp on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the Glow Lamp Soccer Academy in Abreshia, Elmina, as part of preparations for the upcoming 7th Guadeloupe U-16 Invitational Tournament scheduled for May 25, 2025.
A first group of 30 players is expected to report at 2:00 pm on March 19, with a second batch set to join in April for an intensive pre-tournament camp.
Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey will take charge of the squad as Head Coach, assisted by John Oppong Welbeck and Awudu Issaka.
The prestigious Guadeloupe U-16 Invitational Tournament will feature top youth teams from Mexico, France, Brazil, Ivory Coast, and Togo, giving Ghana’s young talents a platform to compete against elite international opposition.
This tournament presents an important opportunity for the squad to gain valuable experience, sharpen their skills, and prepare for future international competitions.
