GFA to Review Otto Addo’s Tenure Today
The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) will meet Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo today.
The meeting will focus on discussing Addo’s technical report on the recently concluded 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers and assessing the overall performance of the technical team since his appointment earlier this year.
This review comes in the wake of Ghana’s failure to secure qualification for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, a result that has sparked widespread disappointment among fans and stakeholders. The council aims to understand the challenges faced during the campaign and deliberate on the way forward for the national team.
Otto Addo, who took over as head coach at the beginning of the year, has faced significant scrutiny due to the team’s lackluster results during the qualifiers. The Black Stars finished fourth in their group, marking one of their poorest performances in recent history.
The outcome will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the Black Stars’ technical leadership as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
