Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has issued a passionate call to Ghanaian football fans, urging them to rally behind the Black Stars as they gear up for two pivotal 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

With the Black Stars set to host Chad on March 21 before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24, Okraku stressed the need for national unity and unwavering support.

Addressing a group of supporters as part of efforts to mobilize fan engagement, he emphasized how critical their backing is to the team’s success.

“If we show the Black Stars love and support, they’ll win the games against Chad and Madagascar,” Okraku said, reinforcing the impact of strong fan encouragement on player morale.

His appeal comes at a decisive moment for the national team, which is striving to secure a spot at the 2026 World Cup. Ghana is currently level on points with Group I leaders Comoros, with both teams sitting at nine points.

Following recent back-to-back victories over Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR), the Black Stars are looking to maintain momentum. The two upcoming fixtures will be key in determining Ghana’s chances of progressing in the qualification race.
