President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, paid a morale-boosting visit to the Black Queens at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Tuesday, May 7, 2025, as the team intensifies preparations for their upcoming international commitments.

The national women’s senior team, under the guidance of head coach Kim Bjorkegren, has been in camp since May 3, with the majority of players drawn from the just-concluded Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.

Addressing the players, President Okraku expressed admiration for their dedication and emphasized the importance of perseverance and ambition in reaching their goals.

“You’re here because your hard work has been noticed. Let’s keep pushing for greatness. We’re sacrificing today for a better tomorrow,” he said.

The GFA President reaffirmed the Association’s unwavering support for the team, assuring the players and technical staff of the federation’s commitment to their development and success on the continental stage.

The Black Queens are expected to continue their intensive training program in the coming weeks, with more friendly matches lined up to help sharpen the team ahead of the continental showpiece scheduled for later this year.
