Bibiani GoldStars head coach, Frimpong Manso, has expressed unwavering confidence in his team’s chances of clinching the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title, despite their recent setback.

The Miners, who were hoping to extend their advantage at the top of the table, suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Vision FC in their Matchday 29 fixture at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.

However, despite the loss, Bibiani GoldStars continue to lead the standings with 53 points, holding a slim advantage with just five matches remaining in the season.

Speaking after the game, Frimpong Manso maintained a positive outlook, emphasizing his team’s determination to fight until the very end.

“We have four games left, three of them at home. We know it won’t be easy, but we’re motivated to push harder,” he said.

“Even for the away game, we’ll fight for something. We’re still on course to win the league,” he confidently added.

In Sunday’s match, Vision FC’s Edmond Asante delivered the decisive blow, netting a late goal just four minutes from time to secure an important victory for Nana Kweku Agyemang’s side, who are battling to steer clear of relegation.

Bibiani GoldStars will now look to bounce back swiftly when they host struggling Karela United at DUN’s Park on Sunday for their crucial Matchday 30 encounter. A win would be vital in reinforcing their bid to secure a historic league triumph.
