Eric Ofori Antwi backs Galaxies to secure CHAN Qualification
Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi is optimistic the Black Galaxies of Ghana will qualify for the CHAN tournament.
The home-based national team has been training intensively in camp for nearly a month in the quest to eliminate their bitterest rivals Nigeria in order to book their ticket to the CHAN tournament.
Eric Ofori Antwi, who has been part of the Black Galaxies team before is confident the current team can beat Nigeria and qualify.
“It’s been a while since the black Galaxies qualify for the CHAN tournament, I know this current squad will be different in the CHAN, and I believe they’ll qualify for the tournament.” He told Nationalist TV.
He added that he has faith in the goalkeepers called to camp and believes any of them can start for Ghana.
“Any of the goalkeepers can start seeing how they’re performing in the Ghana Premier League. I think anyone who will be selected can make amend on that day.” He added.
The first leg is set to be held in Ghana from December 20-22, with the return leg taking place in Nigeria between December 27-29.
The winner of the tie will earn a place in CHAN 2024, scheduled to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania
