Didi Dramani Highlights Ghana’s Determination Ahead of CHAN Qualifiers Against Nigeria
Ghana’s Black Galaxies head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has expressed confidence and readiness ahead of the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Nigeria.
The highly anticipated matches against Nigeria are scheduled for December 22 at the Accra Sports Stadium and December 26 in Lagos, setting the stage for a fierce battle between two of West Africa’s football giants.
Speaking about the challenge of facing a strong opponent, Dramani emphasized the inevitability of competing against high-caliber teams to progress in football.
“In football, when you want to get to the top, you should be ready to meet the top liners. For me, it was not surprising that we were meeting Nigeria,” Dramani stated. “Whether you want it or not, you still will play against someone, and you should expect to play against a quality opponent. There is no doubt that Nigeria is a quality opponent, and Ghana is equally a quality opponent.” He told SuperSport Blitz.
Dramani also highlighted the broader significance of the qualifiers and the CHAN tournament itself, underscoring their role in showcasing domestic talent and preparing players for higher levels of competition.
“The future of this team is to just show domestically what we are made of and to sell out to these young players that they have the capabilities and qualities to also be in the senior national team,” he explained. “The idea is to sell to them the true culture of what we are doing, the philosophy, and the style of play.” He added.
Ghana will aim not only to secure qualification but also to demonstrate the strength of its domestic football scene on the continental stage.
