Coach Ouattara Credits Hard Work for FA Cup Victory Over Immigration FC
Head coach for Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara has attributed his team’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Immigration FC in the MTN FA Cup to sheer determination.
Hearts of Oak are through to the Round of 32 of the MTN FA Cup after their brilliance performance at the University of Ghana sports stadium.
Speaking after the match, the coach emphasized the role of hard work and strategic changes in securing the win, especially given the challenges his team faced.
“There is no secret in beating Immigration. It is the hard work. We always try to work hard. The first half was difficult for us, but we made some changes, and it worked,” he explained.
Despite the commanding victory, Coach Ouattara highlighted the significant hurdle his team faced with injuries.
“We have a big problem because seven of our players are injured,” he revealed, underscoring the resilience of the squad despite their depleted lineup. Last year, we were out at this round, so we did take the game seriously,” Ouattara noted.
The win marks a step forward for Ouattara’s team as they prepare for the big clash with Asante Kotoko on 15th Decemeber in the GPL.
