Black Stars’ Problems Extend Beyond Coaching- Tamimu Issah
Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) spokesperson, Tamimu Issah, has raised concerns about the ongoing struggles of the Black Stars, urging stakeholders to address the broader issues affecting the national team.
In recent years, the national team has seen a revolving door of coaches, with multiple managerial changes implemented in an effort to improve performance.
However, Issah who is now part of Dr. Bawumia’s campaign team believes the team’s struggles go beyond technical issues and require a more holistic approach to address the underlying factors.
In a candid statement on Asempa FM’s sportnite, Issah questioned the overemphasis on technical matters as the sole cause of the team’s challenges, pointing to the frequent coaching changes in recent years.
“Personally, I don’t think the issue with the national team (Black Stars) is technical alone,” he stated. “How many coaches have we changed over the past five years? There are other factors we need to look at as a nation.” He said.
Ghana are second in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers with nine points and would face Chad next in March 2025.
