Black Galaxies Depart for Togo Ahead of CHAN Qualifier Preparations
The Black Galaxies of Ghana have traveled to Lome, Togo, to engage in an international friendly as part of their preparations for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Nigeria later this month.
The team, under the guidance of head coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani, has been in camp for the past month, working on strategies and building team cohesion.
Coach Dramani has invited over 30 players to camp, using the period to assess and fine-tune the squad ahead of the announcement of the final list for the decisive two-legged tie.
Ghana will host Nigeria in Accra between December 20 and 23, 2024 before travelling to Abuja for the return fixture.
This matchup brings back memories of their encounter in 2023 when the Black Galaxies defeated Nigeria to qualify for the CHAN tournament. However, Ghana exited the competition at the group stage, falling short of expectations.
