Bashiru Hayford Unfazed by Heart of Lions’ Success, Says Winning is His Job

Heart of Lions head coach Bashiru Hayford has dismissed any surprise over his team’s impressive form, which has propelled them to the top of the Ghana Premier League standings.

Heart of Lions are currently on top of the league with 24 points after beating FC Samartex last weekend.

The experienced gaffer, who was recently named the league’s Coach of the Month for November, insists that winning matches and delivering results is simply part of his responsibility.

“As a coach, it is my job to be winning and doing well. So I don’t know why it is surprising for people that my team is on top of the league. That is my job.”- He remarked on Asempa FM’s Sportsnite.

Under Hayford’s leadership, Heart of Lions have enjoyed a stellar run of form, with consistent performances earning them critical points and positioning them as strong contenders for the title.

The Kpando-based side will play their next game against Basake Holy Stars.
